As the promised release of Zoom Lens V.A. II varies in date and time, the compilation which I feel is definitive in capturing our ever changing growth and the moment in which we stand now, I wanted to create something a little more representative of us as a whole as I feel like there really isn’t that much out there yet which does.

With that belief, I put together a mix of all the current Zoom Lens artists and those who are associated with us who are to release something in the near future. Some of these songs can be found on our site, the artist’s SoundCloud or they are yet to be released. Either way, I feel like if there is a place for you to start with us, this is one of the best places to go so far.

Zoom Lens V.A. II will come out soon, but I want to make it perfect, and that means some artists taking a little extra time and for things to be wrapped up in a focused manner. Until then, listen to this. For those who are new to us, there are great things to be found. For those who know us, there may even be things you haven’t heard yet.

LAY BAC- STAY OUT TONIGHT/SURF MICHIGAN

LAY BAC just recently released a reworking of their song, STAY OUT TONIGHT, as well as a new b-side entitled SURF MICHIGAN.

Imagine 80’s funk as taken on by Japanese silver age idols processed through a 90’s tape deck distorted to the point that it resonates as shoegaze and you’ll find something close to LAY BAC.

Also, be sure to check out LAY BAC’s previous release, SHORTCUTS, which was released by ZOOM LENS just earlier this year.
